  • Nitrogen: Required in great quantities, helps in green colour, shoot and root density, carbohydrate reserve.
    • Deficiency symptoms: Chlorosis, slow growth and low density.
  • Phosphorus: Important for seed germination, initial seeding and root growth. Structural element important for a new sod establishment and seed germination.
    • Deficiency symptoms: Reduced root growth, reddish leaf colour and narrow leaf blade.
  • Potassium: Functional element, increases root density, helps in reducing environmental stress, increases wear tolerance and disease resistance.
    • Deficiency symptoms: Poor wear tolerance.
